A trip to Pembroke Lodge, Final Preparations and Exciting Family News!

Only six days to go until I photograph Luke and Lizzi’s wedding at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond upon Thames, Surrey http://www.pembroke-lodge.co.uk/

Pembroke Lodge is a magnificent Georgian mansion set in its own stunning landscaped gardens in Richmond Park. It’s a wonderful place to get married or to host your reception.

I spent Sunday morning having a look around the grounds and assessing the best places to take Luke and Lizzi’s couple shots. It’s amazing how gardens change with the seasons. The last time I visited Pembroke Lodge was back in May of this year and the landscaped gardens have changed beyond recognition.

I jotted down a few ideas and I always like to visit the wedding/reception venue prior to the wedding for me to build a mental picture of the venue and to formulate a plan of where to photograph the couple on their own and also to establish a location to take the group shots. We understand that your wedding day is the most important and exciting day of your life and every minute is special. We firmly believe that planning ahead enhances the time we spend with you capturing the love and emotions between you as we don’t need to be spending time looking for suitable photographic locations.

After a spot of lunch I took a couple of details shots which may make the album. The first shot was of the Luke and Lizz’s wedding invitation with Pembroke lodge in the background. The second shot was of a signpost located within the grounds of Pembroke Lodge pointing to the lodge itself, King Henrys Mounts and Poets Corner.

Once I had the photos I needed ‘in the bag’ I knocked up a quick wet weather contingency plan, just in case (touch Wood!) it’s rains on their big day.

I had some fantastic news from my brother today…. I’m going to be an Uncle!
